Keren Richter is an artist and curator currently splitting her time between Brooklyn and Berlin. She was born in Vienna, Austria, raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and attended Parsons the New School for Design for illustration, later receiving her BA in Art History at Columbia University.
She began her career with a focus on t-shirt graphics and editorial illustration, but her work now reaches across many genres to include art direction, textile design, large scale murals, and set design. Named a "Young Gun" (YGA7) by The Art Directors Club, her paintings and designs have been featured in over a dozen publications and international exhibitions.
Curatorial projects include RATS, a Berlin concept Pop Up founded with Gabriel Kuo. 2012's "Secret," a group show at Patron of the Arts, co-currated with Nanse Kawashima, and 2010's Space is the Place," an art zine created with the help of designer Andrew Janik. Space is the Place featured twenty five international artists working within the realm of psychedelia.
